About Erica

“I guess it really is just me, myself and all my millions.” Erica Bauwens, 2011

I’m Erica Bauwens and this is my blog. People say I’m like the Beyonce of Southern New Jersey. Maybe it’s because of my endless talent, could be my limitless good looks. Or maybe its because I’m 23-years-old, totally broke, and live with my parents.

Who am I to correct them?

I idolize, Liz Lemon, from “30 Rock” because like her I’m always trying to “have it all.” I think I’m on the way: I’ve got a great job, as an assistant editor for South Jersey Magazine. There has never been a boring day in my job and I absolutely love it. I’ve nabbed the coolest, handsomest and smartest dude on the planet, my boyfriend of 3 years Alex. Now I’m just trying to fill in the other pieces that are supposed to come with being a “grown up”. Money, a place of my own, a wardrobe with less sweatpants and leggings. You know, adult stuff.

I started this blog in 2011 at the age of 21, and since then a lot has changed, and a lot will continue to change. So yeah, things aren’t exactly how I planned them to be, but that’s okay! I’m in it for the experience, and I hope when you read this you will be too! This blog is one big jumble of my favorite things: clothes, style, cooking, sports, videos, music, television. Everything that makes my life so weird, unique, off-putting to some, and different.

Enjoy the ride!

    Hey Erica,

I’ve read through a couple of your blog posts, and I really enjoy your writing style and sense of humor. You really remind me of one of my close friends. I’ve followed you and stuff, so I hope to read more of what you post in the future!

… and now that I read what I just wrote to myself, it seems creepy. I don’t mean to be creepy though! Bah! Silly interwebs.

Best of luck with your adventures and endeavors.

Haha I just followed you and can’t wait to read more of your stuff in the future 🙂

Your life kinda sounds like mine since I’m a broke Creative Writing major and I’m leaning on my parents, too. Sucks. But hey, life is still good, and paper and pens help make life better. Anyway my point is you seem really awesome and have fun writing 🙂

All you need is love, right?

Seriously, though, I had this assumption magazines had broken into the e-market on the more colorful readers. Real or not real?
